This is the first year the Town of Smoky Lake is participating in the Communities in Bloom Program. We would like to see all citizens, local businesses and organizations participating in this initiative to enhance the beauty of our community.

The Town is sponsoring $1800 worth of prizes in the "Rake It In Contest" for local citizens, institutions/clubs and businesses.

Theme colors for 2011 are purple, orange and white. Judging will be done in late summer by local representatives. Register before July 15, 2011 at the Town Office between 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Town will be evaluated by two CiB judges on July 12, 2011.

This initiative will help to improve the appearance of Smoky Lake, hoping to attract more people to move here thus more businesses opening, creating more jobs.
