  • Judging criteria included:
  1. Tidiness=first impression, cleanliness and no tall weeds or debris
  2. Heritage Conservation=canadian flag, family name displayed, family ancestry, special awards
  3. Landscaping= art objects, gardening theme, balance of plants to area, rocks, bricks, stones, gravel, use of benches, arbores, gazebos, bridges
  4. Flowers= annuals, biennuals, perennials, variety of grasses, wildflowers, use of baskets, pots, tubs, planters, beds, edging, mosaics, handplanted, use of theme colors-purple , white and orange
  5. Trees/shrubs= conifers and deciduous, harmony within location
  6. Environmentalism= composting, mulching, rain water collection, downspouts, bird feeds, houses, gardens, recycling, solar lighting, bathouses 
  7. Grass= green, healthy, trimmed, no tall weeds, groundcovers
