The town of Smoky Lake is a great place to live and raise a family.

Just over a one hour drive from the city of Edmonton. Residence enjoy most of the conveniences of the big city without the traffic and frustrations associated with city life. Amenities include a golf course, two large grocery stores, a convenience store, a 15-bed hospital, a large car dealership, Bumper to Bumper, Home Hardware and Alberta registries, Residence enjoy, a large ice arena, a curling rink along with the weekly farmers markets and even a bottle depot and small thrift store. The kids can have fun at the modern spray park adjacent to the new state of the art playground. With a K through 12 school within walking distance of most homes, there is no longer a need to drive your kids to school. Daycare services are now available so young families have everything they need.

We even have a small-town newspaper. With many clubs and organizations, there’s always something happening in town. It could be a perogy dinner at the Ukrainian National Hall or the Malanka dancers annual dinner and dancing demonstration. The annual smoky lake rodeo draws very large crowds every year and then, of course, the famous Great White North Pumpkin Fair is a must-see for people in the region.

Smoky Lakes pumpkin park featuring large concrete pumpkins is a draw for people all over Alberta. It is considered the launch point for many planning an adventure down the famous Iron Horse Trail.

With high-speed Internet and online purchasing, small-town living has become the choice for many looking for a more cost-effective laid-back lifestyle.

With some home prices almost half the price of city homes the town of Smoky Lake might be a good choice for many seeking something better.
