Event: 25th Annual Great White North Pumpkin Fair & Weigh-off

Add to Calendar

For 25 years, the Smoky Lake Pumpkin Growers Association has held a competition for the largest pumpkins, wastermelons, squash and long gourds. In 2012, a new site record was set with a monster pumpkin weighing in over 1275 pounds. This day was capped off with a massive crane raising the giant fruit 100 feet into the air, then sending it hurtling down to land on a car parked beneath!

Each year, thousands of people visit the town of Smoky Lake for this fair, which features events throughout the Town. Make your plans to attend the 2013 edition, and help celebrate a quarter-century of pumpkins!
