Fire Advisory in Effect

What’s allowed under this advisory:

  • Fire permits: Only for essential burning. Some permits may require an inspection.

  • Fireworks: May be allowed, but only with a permit and decided case-by-case.

  • OHVs: Can easily start wildfires. Check them often for debris, hot spots, and make sure mufflers/spark arrestors work properly.

  • Burning barrels: Allowed if:

    • They’re in good condition

    • Have a metal mesh screen with openings no bigger than 6 mm (¼")

    • Are at least 100 feet from buildings or trees

    • Have a 10-foot cleared, non-flammable area around them

Campfires:
Be careful. Never leave a campfire unattended. Put it out completely—soak it, stir it, soak it again. Ashes must be cool to the touch.
